La Divina : 1

Over the next week or so, I will be posting images featuring various heroines of past and present.  Be it Actress, Singer or Dancer – the women I have chosen to highlight all have at least one thing in common.

Their images resonate with Passion.

Striking and Seductive.

Revealing of their Nature… their tenderness… their wounds.

Dynamic glances - Soaked in drama.

This was a subject I had been thinking of and was pleasantly reminded by Nina Hagen's photo post from FB last weekend -  featured below.

Marlene Dietrich was and always will be a fashion icon. However, it ‘s the “anti-fashion” philosophy that resonates with me. She was not afraid to go her own way and by doing so, created an image and a style that was her own.

Fashion : “Don't follow it blindly into every dark alley. Always remember that you are not a model or a mannequin for which the fashion is created.” – Marlene Dietrich

“I dress for the image. Not for myself, not for the public, not for fashion, not for men.” -Marlene Dietrich
